Nathan and Kim Bageant have been married since 2008 and have 3 sweet-spirited children: Emma, Livvy, and Dutch.
In 2018, Kim and Nathan purchased a small therapy clinic that boasted 8 employees: 2 Admins, 4 SLPs, and 2 OTs. They renamed the company to "Coastline" with the intention of expanding the company all along the Southeastern Coastline of NC.
Like a fourth child, they watched their new "baby" grow from 8 employees to 68 employees, from 2 disciplines to 3 disciplines (as they now have a full PT team), and from one 2,000 sq ft space to 4 locations and a 5th one on the way: a 5,000 sq ft space in Waterford (Leland). Coastline's biggest accomplishment, yet, has been winning "Best of Shore Best Therapy Clinic in Wilmington" as well as "Best of Shore Best Speech Therapist in Wilmington".
Nathan received his COTA/L from CFCC's Occupational Therapy Assistant. He has worked as a COTA and also as a Rehab Director in Short Term Rehab overseeing Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy. Nathan is also a licensed General Contractor and continues to hold the license for Bayan Construction in Topsail Island as well as his construction company in Wilmington, Point Break. Nathan builds and/or develops all of our new locations. Nathan also manages insurance claims, reviews all services contracts, insurance contracts, and billing updates.
Kim received her B.S. in Mathematics from ECU and then her M.S. in Mathematics from UNCW. Kim taught various math classes for 10 years for CFCC (full time) and for 7 years for UNCW and NC Wesleyan (both part time). Like Nathan, Kim wears many "hats" for Coastline in the form of Human Resources, Payroll, IT Support, Social Media Maintenance, Insurance Relations, Patient Account Maintenance, and Claims/Billing.
God has been so good to Coastline and we are also thankful for our amazing team that has helped us to grow and prosper!
