Kim received a B.S. in Mathematics from ECU and a M.S. in Mathemtics from UNCW. She taught mathematics for both Cape Fear Commmunity College and UNC at Wilmington from 2009-2019. Prior to moving to the pediatric therapy world, Alyson worked in publishing for 20 years and owned her own consulting company. She now works with private practices who focus on Occupational, Speech and Physical Therapy for children. In her role with Coastline Therapy Group, Alyson will focus on marketing, referral development, contract development and retention and recruitment of Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapists. As a graduate of UNC-Wilmington, she is excited to be back in the Wilmington area. Alyson and her husband, Lew have one daughter, Caroline who is attending the University of South Carolina. Sarah attended James Madison University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minor in Exceptional Education. She continued to pursue her career and education by also obtaining a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Sarah always knew she wanted to be a Speech-Language Pathologist as before she even completed her degrees she worked as an SLP aide in the pediatric setting and as an SLP assistant in between degrees. This only confirmed her desire to help people at all stages in life find a way to have their voice heard. Sarah completed her Clinical Fellowship year and obtained her Certificate of Clinical Competency while working at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Chatham, VA. While Sarah enjoys working with all ages and populations, she found her heart leading her back to where she started in pediatrics and spent the last year working in a developmental pediatric setting where she gained experience working with a variety of children helping to address their speech, language, feeding, and literacy needs. Sarah enjoys working with all populations and collaborating with other disciplines to provide a multidisciplinary therapeutic approach to her patients. When she is not in the clinic Sarah can be found throwing tennis balls down the beach with her Labrador (Dallas) and Golden Retriever (Bentley) or planning trips to visit her family, especially her nephew, in VA.

While ShaNa’ enjoys working with people of various ages and populations, children have a special place in her heart. Since an early age, she has always had a desire to work with children. Her most recent employment was with the Rapides Parish School Board consisting of providing language, articulation, and fluency therapy to students of varying ages and with different diagnoses. It was while serving in this role that her passion was reaffirmed. Outside of the work
environment, ShaNa’ can be found working with the youth at her church, reading a book, singing, or spending time with her family and friends.

Makayla graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 2017 with an undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and minors in Psychology and Sociology. She received her Master’s degree in in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019.
Throughout graduate school Makayla worked extensively with the pediatric population in a variety of settings. She has experience with the evaluation and treatment of language delays/disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, as well as communication delays secondary to autism, genetic syndromes, and developmental delays. In addition, Makayla has specialized training in auditory-verbal therapy for children who are deaf/hard of hearing. Makayla believes in making therapy functional and interactive for children, and in the importance of collaborating with families and other professionals to encourage the best quality of life and communication outcomes across settings.

Nikki earned a MS in Speech Language Pathology from California State University, San Marcos where she also received her BS degree in Human Development specializing in Children’s Services with a minor in Psychology. She has experience working with patients from 9 months to 98 years old within a private practice, educational, and inpatient hospital settings. Nikki has also had the opportunity to focus on the care and treatment at a primarily Spanish bilingual elementary school, as well as adults with mild to severe cognitive communication and intellectual disabilities. She has enjoyed giving back to the world of speech language pathology with the supervision of SLPA, undergraduate, and graduate students throughout her career. The last several years, Nikki has focused on the assessment and treatment of feeding disorders, apraxia, and aphasia. Nikki is a California native who recently relocated to NC. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been working with children and their families via Teletherapy.
She is an experienced therapist for an array of speech and language disorders including but not limited to: speech language issues associated with autism spectrum disorder, receptive and expressive disorders, oral motor weakness, childhood apraxia of speech, lateral lisp, social communication disorder, speech sound disorder, phonological processing disorder, stuttering, and cognitive delay.
Rinat uses a family-based and coaching treatment model that not only provides therapy to a child, but models and teaches a variety of strategies to family members, caregivers and/or teachers.
Rinat recently relocated to NC with her family since her husband became a periodontist in the Navy. She is looking forward to exploring North Carolina these next four years!

She earned an undergraduate degree at UNC Chapel Hill and completed her Master of Physical Therapy degree from East Carolina University. After initially working in western NC, she relocated to Delaware for 18 yrs. There, she gained experience in a variety of settings and helped clients of all ages reduce their pain, recover from surgeries, and regain or retrain movement to enable return to activities, sports, and quality of life. Shelly is excited to bring her experience back to NC and continue her passion of helping others reach their wellness and performance goals. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, helping at Open Hands Farm in Castle Hayne, exercising and taking walks on the beach.

Chad gained over 5 years full time work experience with an Orthopedic and Sports Rehab Physical Therapy office where he learned extensive manual techniques, and critical thinking skills addressing complex sports injuries with and from an US Olympic team level Physical Therapist. Chad attended Martin CC to attain his PTA license, during this time he worked as a Sports Performance Coach and trainer at Fitness Unlimited in Washington NC. Chad currently serves as Head Strength and Conditioning Director at Coastal Athletics an indoor sports complex. Chad’s treatment style blends: addressing functional deficits with specific progressional movements while targeting overall awareness in the body and using manual techniques to accomplish targeted goals with an ability to empower each patient individually in their rehabilitation process through Patient education and an open communication loop. When off work Chads life is fulfilled by time with his daughter and wife or chasing his next outdoor or offshore adventure.
